Biography

I am a self taught artist. My work ranges from abstract, to portraits. to landscapes. to Surrearlism. My medium is choice is mostly Acrylic and Oil. The comments I recieve mostly about my art is about the depth of color and movement. If I feel a piece I've painted is "boring", it will never see the light of day. My dream is that people will walk up to my paitings and have an audible reaction. Hopefully a positive one! I want people to be struck by the color, the vibrancy, the sway,movement and meaning. As with most things, my "style" is unconventional. I choose not to be pigeonholed into doing only one style. One day it will be an abstract, the next a portrait, the next Surrealism. To me, strict structure and rigidity is the antithesis of Art. My influences include the great French impressionists. Like them, my joy is in doing pieces that represent "life scenes". Painting is fairly new in my life, but something I will do for the rest of it.
