Statements

The power of art is found within the creative problem-solving techniques of the media, and how an artist can use them. Being able to be free and use what ever an artist wants to make an art piece, with no pre-set rules on how to move the brush around the canvas, is a power that has no boundaries. The future of art is ever changing, an artist’s power can be seen, when his/her thoughts hit the canvas in an explosion of emotion and passion.
As an artist, my goal will be to deal with all ideas that are art with a passion. I want my work to move people like magic, they way music steers the soul. When the viewer looks at my art, I want the viewer to sense the emotion that gives them the feeling of being alive. Art should reflect the times and the emotional state in which the artist sees the world. An artist has a responsibility to the viewer to show the truth of the world though the visual conception of what he or she has experienced and feels toward that world.
My experience’s as an artist over the last 21 years, and my college exposure as an art student, which, I earned a Associate degree in Visual Communications from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in studio art, with minor in graphic design from Youngstown State University. Putting these two combinations together, gives me knowledge and the skill to consider myself a professional artist. The Images I create our, my curse, my love, and my destiny that keeps me sane, in this insane world.
