Biography

Hi! I'm Yvonne Ayoub, a freelance artist, primarily based in Central London but for much of the year, I can be found happily painting in my studio on the beautiful island of Skiathos, Greece, where I am on the process of setting-up a new Art Center offering Painting Holidays and Creative Workshops. I also co-own a Design and Print Co.providing a complete, bespoke stationery service + shipping orders worldwide.

I'm an artist in the broadest sense of the word - I simply love to create! For me being creative is as necessary as the air I breathe. My early career began in the theatre, as a classical ballet dancer then,as an actor/entertainer on stage & in television. For many years, I was a qualified teacher of Ballet & the performing arts, while raising a family. I lived and worked all over the world before finally running a successful London Print co. I now devote most of my time to my main passion; painting!

Statements

I have a particular fascination for how art, in all its forms (fine art, sculpture, photography, music, dance, theatre, literature, poetry etc) continually pushes established parameters and finds new direction and expression.
At the same time I have an on-going passion for (and a keen desire to perpetuate) the traditional craftsmanship skills and techniques that are all too quickly disappearing from our modern world.
I believe art is the true food for the soul and that it should be easily accessible, widely celebrated and freely enjoyed by all. It is a common language we all can share regardless of any geographical, political, economical, cultural, racial or religious differences

Styles

I generally work in a traditional style and to commission (private & corporate) but being versatile, I am very flexible and can adapt to whatever style and medium is required.

As a full time free-lance artist, working mostly to commission, I provide ORIGINAL ART, QUALITY PRINTS & GREETINGS CARDS, ILLUSTRATIONS, PORTRAITS (architectural, children pets etc) MURALS and PHOTOGRAPHIC or DIGITAL IMAGES.
I also offer a quality, bespoke DESIGN and PRINT service - to meet all your PERSONAL and CORPORATE STATIONERY needs, such as personalised greetings cards, wedding stationery, letterheads, business cards etc + WORLD-WIDE SHIPPING SERVICE.

Techniques

I work in many different media and in a wide variety of disciplines, including fine art, illustration, murals, photography, crafts and soft furnishing with interior design.

I regularly exhibit my work at the Annual Art Exhibition, held in Skiathos, Greece

I take my inspiration from Life; the world around me (as I see it!), Nature, Music, Literature and Poetry - any and everything that inspires & touches my emotions.
