I don't paint to live I live to paint
Christine Ward is a self taught artist, never having taken a class in her life. She started when she was old enough to hold a pencil, although her painting came much later. It was 10 years ago when she developed her mental illness that she was drawn into painting. She hopes that through her works people will see a different side of mental illness, not one that causes people to stigmatize and fear the mentally ill, but to embrace them for what they have to offer in life. You may see more of her works on a slideshow on her myspace site at www.myspace.com/ArtByChristineWard. You may also contact the artist through myspace.
