Hello and Welcome,

Painting and sculpting has been an integral part of my life. I’m interested in projecting sentiments of love, joy and emotions in my work. My paintings depicts romance, capturing senses, its presence, and human figures in its intricacies of beauty and life ( Heroes and Dancers) I love designing and creating. There is no doubt that I am overwhelmed by this state of real living when I work. It's very empowering. But after all, is that not how life is meant to be - being forever (hopefully forever) empowered by simply putting our true creative energy to work? One thing I find quite disappointing and in many respects quite sad - is that so many people "shelved" the creativity they were equipped with when young in order to fit into the "real world - get a job" routine that is sold to us at an early age as being "what life is all about." It's not that people don't have the ability to paint, write and sing or whatever...it's just that they allowed other people to steal their focus or didn't / don't invest enough time. .. For me painting is an intuitive interaction with each brush stroke. Therefore, the act of painting necessitates a high degree of trust, energy, presence, and awareness. My paintings are combinations of acrylic, tempera, and oil pastels layered between acrylic mediums on gallery wrap canvas. I pour, mark, drip, lift, brush, scrape, build and erode the surface. The challenge of reflecting emotions through value, color, texture, shape, movement, and line.The sequential layers of paint and markings reveal a new surface history. The resulting work is an internal response to the external world. My diverse works includes landscapes, botanical studies, portraits and still life compositions. some quite traditional like a vase of flowers painting, a dramatic landscape, a classic portrait, or a still life with fruit, and some others are a little more surreal. In some of my paintings I use a fairly bold quivering line that reminds us of the works of Van Gogh although my technique is fundamentally different to his. I am a full time artist living in Claremont, California. I have been painting for many years and work out of my studio. I had a few exhibits and recently had one locally. My artwork, paintings can be found in Galleries, homes, and private collections in the Phippines,Thailand and all throughout. I have never been one for adopting an "Artist Statement" to represent what I do. But I do paint possessed with an enthusiasm, passion and desire that is directly influenced by what I see or better still…what I can't see (wink) I hope you enjoyed a few of my paintings featured here on this website, please feel free to contact me should you have any inquiries.
