Mosaic Dragonfly #2
This is the second "mosaic" dragonfly in a series of paintings I'll be doing in this style.
When I painted the first one I was trying to get the tiny skeleton of the wings to remain black while lightening the inside cells. I could tell fairly quickly that the results were not going to be what I had intended but it was definitely exciting. It may not have been what I was going for but I was thrilled with the outcome.
