Oceanic

Oceanic is my vision of an undersea world. We visited the Seattle Aquarium last weekend and I was inspired by the hundreds of photos I came home with.

I plan on expanding this into an entire series over the next several months. This is the first piece and I'm having so much fun with it. I've combined the style I use in my ink and pencil illustrations with my bleach technique. I never thought the two would work well together but I think the experiment was a success!

I'm looking forward to doing octopus, starfish, seahorse and many other creatures. Stay tuned!

Painting size is slightly smaller than 5" x 7" (12.7 x 17.8cm) The piece fits perfectly into a standard 5" x 7" matte.
