R.I.P. Melissa

This is a painting I did to honor my friend Melissa who died recently. The painting portrays the way I remember her best... Hanging out on the beach, smiling, surfboard by her side, and always having some kind of delicious gourmet delicacy that she lovingly created and brought to share. I will miss her greatly, she was an awesome person.

On a personal note, if the health care system in this country was not so fucked up, perhaps this beautiful creature would have been helped before she met her untimely death. She was 31.
