Faceted Peridot Bug Earrings

I really wanted to try to make a piece that incorporated creepy crawlies of some sort. I got these two faceted peridot from a close friend and had a hard time coming up with something that would work with the faceted pieces and my more primitive style. I played with the idea of bugs for a while and then came up with these.

Materials:: sterling silver, peridot

Construction:: sterling silver sheet and wire were used to make the "bugs" in which I set two faceted peridot. The leaves are made of hand textured and formed sterling sheet.
