Crossed in Blue

My current passion is an alternative printing process called Cyanotypes. I enjoy the simplicity and immediacy of hand printing my images. Making cyanotypes is almost like a special ceremony. I enjoy coating my own papers and it is exciting to see the images darken in the sun and even more exciting to watch them develop with nothing more than water. Cyanotypes allow me to express my artistic vision and creative passion through this very old alternative process. In this age of digital photography, I consider old-time photography as avant-garde and choose it over modern techniques.
