There is a place in my head were I am safe, I hide there often. But sometimes even there it scares the hell out me.

NEVER AN ANGEL, SEE HOW SHE WAITS, LIVES BETWEEN LINES, LOVES ALL SHE HATES, CAUGHT IN A STORM, AS IT SLOWLY MOVES IN, LOST TO THE DARKNESS, LIVING TOO WIN. HER COST GOES UNWRITTEN, STILL NOBODY SEES, THIS ANGEL IS LOST, AND LONGS TO BE FREE. HER HANDS DIPPED IN BLOOD, HER LIFE SO REFRAINED, HER HEART IN HER WORDS, LIKE BLOOD IN HER VEINS. NEVER SO LOST, NEVER SET FREE, NEVER TO FEEL, WHAT SHE REALLY SEES. HER MEMORIES INSIDE HER, SHE STILL FIGHTS THEM ALL, TO FIGHT THOSE DEMONS, THAT WOULD SURLY KILL US ALL. LOVE HER OR DAMN HER, A CURSE TO HER LIFE, TO WALK SO ALONE, AT THE EDGE OF A KNIFE. NEVER AN ANGEL, NOR DEVIL YOU’LL BE, YOU’LL LIVE THROUGH US ALL, THE WORDS SET US FREE.

Dear Lisa,
Thank you for your wonderfully kind words about my writing. After reading your work, I find your desire to write like me unfounded. Your mastery of description is amazing and I found some of it too real for me to read. But your work in poetry was quite absorbing and I wondered where all that came from, then I read your bio and found a depth of strength and vulnerability that in combination has birthed a true talent that can only be born from experience..whether good or bad. My congratulations on your wonderful personal accomplishments and your willful percision with the written word. I am honored that you read my work.
