Jimi Beach is an artistic entrepreneur who currently works and resides in Orlando, FL. Throughout his schooling Beach excelled in art and science, both which later contributed to his unique approach to business and his calculated pursuit of creative industry. As an accomplished musician, Beach recorded three albums and toured the country’s major performance venues with a rhythmic act that featured homemade percussive instruments. As the creator and producer of the Independent Artist Stage on the Vans Warped Tour in the mid-nineties, Beach’s production company provided the opportunity for many of today’s most popular acts to break into the national scene.
As the founder and former President of Bluworld of Water, Jimi successfully pioneered the concept of ‘water as art’ into what has become the world’s largest waterfall design studio, specializing in high end architectural installations. With production facilities in Florida, California and Zhongshan, China; in 2002 the luxury magazine Robb Report labeled Beach the ‘world’s foremost authority on water art and design’.
As a visual artist, Beach regularly produces art and sculptures for private collectors and institutional commissions. In 2004 Beach co-founded Gist Design Studio, a full service art and design collaborative specializing in full scale interior design for themed restaurants and nightclubs. Beach’s Rhythm and Flow nightclub won a Golden Brick award from the City of Orlando for its progressive contribution to the development of the downtown district.
In early 2005, Jimi focused his artistic efforts on product design with a study in cultural branding, by leading a team in the creation of a liquor concept that imports high quality spirits from around the world. As the Managing Partner of the Bong Spirit Company, Beach headed the design and marketing efforts for the launch of Bong Spirit Vodka in the United States, Mexico, and Europe. In December 2006, a New York Times article touting Beach’s efforts stated, “The industry has never seen such a burst of innovation to meet and spur on the growing demand for super premium liquors”.
Jimi’s professional experience in developing artistic projects, combined with a knack for implementing creative branding strategies, has paved the way for his latest creative industry foray, the Global Talent Database. As a pioneer in exploring the ways that mass interconnectivity positively affects independent arts, Beach envisions the future creative economy as one that generates opportunities for a multitude of artists instead of a select few. TalentDatabase.com offers top level organization in a world of talent currently spread across millions of websites, and provides a platform for advanced networking and unique industry centric services.
Jimi Beach has built a reputation on his ability to mold artistic ideas into successful businesses, and regularly advises others on finding harmony between their artistic ability and what-it-takes to be an artistic entrepreneur. He has recently spoke about this topic on CNBC’s primetime business show, The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch. Jimi is the author and creator of the popular web blog TalentSpeaks, and is currently writing a book about the dawning of a new era for independent artists around the world.
As the founder of TalentDatabase.com and Talent Speaks, I hope to inspire others to pursue their dreams of becoming full time artists, imagine what you could do if you were able to spend 100% of your day on your creative ability.
Designer of various artistic implementations in a variety of fields.
As a lifelong artist, I have worked with many artistic mediums to satisfy my creative urge. I'm an entrepreneur, musician, designer, inventor a little bit of everything. Through my own impulses to create, I've been able to start several successful companies solely with sweat and passion. I hope to inspire others to pursue their creative visions and to find success in their endeavors, with what I've learned along the way.
